Voici un groupe rock british qui est en tout point fabulous !!! Voui voui j’ai bien dit fabulous (pour toutes les personnes qui croient que mon anglais n’est pas terrible, et bien sachez que vous avez raison !!!), il n’y a pas d’autre mot pour un tel groupe.
Passons sans plus attendre aux présentations, histoire de ne pas partir dans le flou total avant d’écouter quelques extraits de mouuuzikkk bien sentie et surtout choisie par mes soins (normal

Qui ne connaît pas Arctic Monkeys ? ma grand-mère ? c’est même pas sûr qu’elle ne connaisse pas ce groupe qui aspire à rentrer parmi la légende. Pour leur premier album sorti en janvier 2006, nos compères anglais (alors accompagné par Andy Nicholson à la basse, celui-ci ayant céder sa place à Nick O'Malley juste avant la tournée triomphante de 2006 en Europe) ont réalisé une sortie tonitruante dans les bacs (363 735 exemplaires de leur album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not la semaine de sortie, plus que les Beatles).
Une voix étonnante et un rythme alternant rythme soutenu et fluidité, qui finissent par nous en mettre plein les oreilles pour notre plus grand bonheur. Leur deuxième album sorti en avril 2007, répondant au doux nom de Favourite Worst Nightmare fait figure de confirmation de l’immense talent et potentiel du groupe tant le rythme est toujours aussi prenant et trépidant de sonorités intenses… le prochain album ne devrait plus tarder puisque nos fadas de chanteur british sont retournés en studio pour enregistrer et peaufiner leur 3ème album…
Pour les plus impatients, sachez que Alex Turner et son compère Miles Kane (du groupe The Rascals) ont créés un autre groupe (une sorte de passe-temps pour les vacances The Last Shadow Puppets dont le premier album est intitulé The Age Of The Understatement, sorti au mois d’Avril 2008.
